About MycoAdvisor
MycoAdvisor is a free, privacy-first platform for documenting, monitoring, analysing and sharing mycology research. It is a research journal that happens to have an AI reading over your shoulder — not a chatbot that happens to accept photographs.
Why a timeline instead of a chat
A single photograph of a culture tells you very little. The same culture photographed on day 0, day 3 and day 7, alongside temperature and humidity readings, tells you a great deal. MycoAdvisor is built around that difference: the source of truth is your research state and its event history, and the analysis is an interpretation layer on top.
What you can document
- Research projects with a species and a genetic line — including your own lines, or none at all if the genetics are unknown.
- Observations containing photographs, notes and environmental measurements.
- A chronological timeline built from structured events, indexed by research day.
- Phenotypes, as first-class records rather than notes buried in a journal.
Independent by design
Suppliers can integrate with MycoAdvisor — product verification, batch tracking and structured warranty claims all work better with structured research behind them. But identity, taxonomy, genetics, research, media, analysis, publishing and privacy are all merchant-independent. MycoAdvisor has to be worth using on its own.
What it is not
- Not a social network: there are no followers, comments or leaderboards.
- Not an advertising platform: the business model does not depend on profiling you.
- Not a substitute for your own judgement: low-confidence findings are presented as uncertainty, not fact.
